The 2009 Awards Banquet is a resounding success. The change in format (suggested by many Hall of Famers) allowed the Banquet to proceed in a more uniform manner. The new format allowed Inductees to enjoy their evening and dinner with their family and friends, and also provided more time for socializing. The Banquet was attended by Ms. Dawn Shenk Oliveri and her daughter.   Ms. Oliveri was a 1964 Inductee and a member of the Inaugural Class of Inductees. Help Needed ! * * Pictures (8X10) needed for Hall of Fame Members, Jack George 1976, Jack Blank 1968, Earl McKeown 1992, Wally Walker 1977, Larry Potts 1998,  and Avon Meachem 2002.  If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. INFO:	The Greater Washington Fast-pitch Softball Hall of Fame Commission announced that Christine ‘Kitty’ Casale, a 1981 Hall of Fame inductee, who died during the first week of March (2009) in Atlantis, Florida had a Plaque dedicated in her honor at the 2009 Awards Banquet.  We were pleased that Kitty and her daughter, Linda, had visited Washington in November 2008 and attended the (2008) 45th Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony.  During the induction portion of this year's Awards Banquet,  the Hall of Fame Commission presented the Plaque for the attendees to view, and noted that it will be displayed at every future Banquet.  The Plaque was funded by donations in her name by her family and friends.  It will display the names of all future inductees. It is a wonderful tribute to an outstanding fast pitch supporter and Hall of Famer.
